The Killing Harmony characters are bigger with more balanced proportions. They’ve got stubby little arms and legs without hands or feet. The few characters from Trigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair are smaller and rounder, meant to be hung from a backpack or keychain. There are two prominent styles, with a few characters getting their own unique styles. All of the available plushies of the human characters are small, none larger than 10 inches. The others are special characters, mostly found in the second game, Goodbye Despair. The Ultimate PlushiesĬurrently, most of the available Danganronpa plushies are from the third game, Killing Harmony. ![]() I’ve compared which of the plushes best represents the character and which plush is better designed in these cases. However, some of the most popular characters have more than one option. Most of the characters on this list only have one plush to their name that fits the prior criteria. All the plushies I’ve included are reasonably priced for how they are made. A good quality plush is worth a lot, but sometimes the market can abuse that and make you pay way too much for a cheap product just for what it resembles. Since they are mass-produced, they are unlikely to run out and with be consistent. As a result, all these plushies are official Danganronpa merchandise. ![]() The plushies included in this list are all easily found and bought online. Warning: This article contains many spoilers for the Danganronpa games, especially Killing Harmony. ![]() I enjoy the over-the-top characters and ridiculous scenarios. Still, it touches that little middle-school version of myself that is slightly overdramatic. It’s convoluted, and the writing can be kind of hoaky. Danganronpa is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

Can you fix the battery? Of course you can. Repairīut let’s say you have a cordless tool, and its battery is failing. Buy a tool with a cord, and like my dad with his Makita, you might still be using it in four decades from now. And then there are the unexpected benefits, you forget just how lightweight a power tool is when it doesn’t have a battery pack strapped to its handle. The chances are it won’t be that often, if at all, and buying an extension cord with your electric drill will be a lot cheaper than buying a replacement drill in five years time. Think carefully, how often do you use a power tool away from a mains socket? Really how often, not just hypothetically. The most obvious way to avoid cordless tool obsolescence is to not buy a cordless tool in the first place. If we’re to identify a problem then we should also provide some way out of it, at least a way that works for we hardware hackers and makers if not for the wider public. Of course, a full-on rant against power tool built-in obsolescence is of little use though without some kind of solution. The idea presumably being that after five years you won’t simply have to replace your drill due to a dead battery, you’ll have to replace all your tools! “You might as well take that lot away with you Kevin, I’ll have to replace them all in a few years anyway!”. Amazingly this often concentrates on those problematic batteries themselves, for example where this is being written the manufacturer of those lime-green power tools has a commercial promoting a range of tools that all have the same battery. Meanwhile of course, the marketing machine is in full swing pushing the convenience of cordless tools. Great for the manufacturers, awful for the consumers. Battery pack form factors change with each successive generation of tools, so the customer can not merely buy a new battery pack and move on. In converting their customers to cordless tools, the manufacturers have found a way to get them to buy the same tool from them every five years or so when there is nothing wrong with their previous tool, simply because its battery pack has reached the end of its lifetime. They’re a useful source of motors and sometimes even speed controllers, even if you don’t want to use them as tools.Ĭomparing the Makita and the Bosch as exemplars of the two strands of power tool ownership, I have though to admit an unease over the rise of cordless tools, and a dislike of the marketing that surrounds them. We’ve all been offered a pile of dead cordless tools over the years, and as writers we’ve covered quite a few inventive hacks using them. Naturally, this will not be unfamiliar to most Hackaday readers. ![]() … Not so many years of light use, can’t say the same. The inevitable degradation due to aged cell chemistry has left it unable to hold enough charge for more than maybe a minute’s use, and what was once a tool you’d be glad to own is now an ornament. The vintage model from the days of flared trousers is a paperweight, you ask? No, the not-very-old Bosch, because its battery pack has lost its capacity. One is a very useful tool able to drill holes all day, the other is little more than a paperweight. One is from the mid 1970s, the other from the end of the last decade. So, we have two drills, both of similar size, and both of decent quality. It’s similar in size and capabilities to the Makita save for its bulky battery pack, and it is a comparably decent quality tool. ![]() The other one I’d like to single out is I think the most recent acquisition, a Bosch cordless model he bought several years ago. A variety of others of different sizes and speeds have come and gone over the years, and there is always one at hand for any given task. Of course, the Makita isn’t the only drill in his possession. 41 years of hard use, and still going strong… The drill that most comes to mind is a Makita mains powered hand drill, and given that I remember the day he bought it to replace his clapped-out Wolf in 1976, it has given phenomenal service over four decades and continues to do so. When thinking of the power tools constantly on hand in the workshop of a blacksmith like my dad for instance, I’m instantly seeing a drill and an angle grinder. You’ll see them of all ages, sizes, manufacturers, and technologies. If you grow up around a small engineering business you are likely to gain something of an appreciation for power tools. ![]() Have comments or questions about our 2023 paint color trends? If a study was evaluated as having a high risk of bias that might influence the pooled estimates of the outcome of interest, a subgroup analysis was conducted, excluding that study. All analyses were conducted in STATA® version 13.1 (StataCorp LP, College Station, Texas, USA). Number needed to treat (NNT) to avoid a particular adverse outcome was calculated as 1/(ACR × (1 − RR)), where ACR is the assumed control risk 26. An I 2 value of 0 per cent indicates no inconsistency between the results of individual trials, and an I 2 value of 100 per cent indicates maximal inconsistency. Heterogeneity was quantified with the I 2 measuring the proportion of variation (inconsistency) in the combined estimates 29. Statistical heterogeneity was examined as between‐study variation and tested using the Cochran Q test. Study design effect and unit of analysis was taken into consideration to calculate the standard error based on the original study design (a detailed explanation can be found in Appendix S1, supporting information) 26, 28. Accordingly, the studies were treated as random samples, assuming that the true effect varied between studies. The random‐effects model was chosen because the studies assessed different kinds of surgical incision and therefore clinical heterogeneity was expected. The meta‐analyses applied the random‐effects model of DerSimonian and Laird 27. The mean difference was used to summarize continuous data. 1).ĭata from each of the studies were organized in 2 × 2 contingency tables and used to calculate the relative risk (RR) for wound complications with associated 95 per cent c.i. ![]() The mechanisms of action of this closed incision management have been supported by biomechanical studies: increased blood flow 14, 19 decreased lateral and shear stress at the suture lines with decreased risk of wound dehiscence 20 and increased lymph clearance with reduced formation of haematoma/seroma 21 ( Fig. In the latter case, the liquid is removed by evaporation through a semipermeable dressing. These NPWT devices consist of a single‐use battery‐powered negative‐pressure therapy device, an easy‐to‐place dressing, and either a very small and easily portable canister, or no canister at all. Two simplified NPWT devices became commercially available in 2010 (Prevena™ KCI) and 2011 (PICO™ Smith & Nephew, Hull, UK). Some of the first studies were case series 13, 14 and observational studies 15, 16 using one of the existing NPWT devices (VAC® KCI, San Antonio, Texas, USA) designed for open wounds 17, 18. In recent years, the indication for NPWT has been extended to include treatment of closed surgical incisions (incisional NPWT, iNPWT). The mechanisms of action include a characteristic pattern of blood flow around the wound, reduction in tissue oedema and stimulation of granulation tissue formation 10, 11, 12. The device ensures that negative pressure is transmitted to the wound bed and removes wound fluid 10. The dressing is then connected to a vacuum device via a drain or port. The wound is filled with a gauze or foam and sealed with an adhesive film dressing. Negative‐pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is usually used for the treatment of open wounds. Wound complications may also delay recovery, increase discomfort and reduce quality of life 8, 9. Postoperative wound complications may lead to increased healthcare costs due to prolonged inpatient stay, repeat surgery and the need for increased follow‐up 6, 7. Postoperative wound complications, such as infection, dehiscence, and formation of haematoma or seroma, are common complications of surgical procedures 1, 2, particularly among patients with risk factors such as obesity and diabetes 3, 4, 5. |
