Nowadays, I still use my iPad, but it’s a different one for reasons I’ve whined about in the past, since it’s, again, easier to carry around, though less convenient to write on. I still used my laptop though, because it made me feel more motivated and it was more convenient. But when I started to use my high school-sanctioned iPad and carry it around with me more often than my heavy 17-inch old laptop around 10th grade, I started to write more on my iPad (which was a mistake, as I will always complain about). However, I used to almost exclusively work on my old hand-me-down Dell laptop because typing with your thumbs for chapter-long stories becomes inconvenient. ![]() Then I got an iPod touch for my 10th birthday, I started typing up some stuff on that thing and the same can be said when I finally got my smartphone when I turned 13. I still have panic attacks every now and then about whether or not I’m being plagiarized, but honestly probably not because that was stuff from when I was 11 pff.) (So if you see anything out there that sort of resembles x-men but-not-really maybe let me know. I wrote a lot of original stories that in reality simulated fanfiction itoward the end of elementary school and start of middle school, but then when I was 11 years old I lost one of my old notebooks that contained a lot of story ideas and actual chapters I was writing. I’m considering asking my rl friend to invite me to Archive of Our Own since I’ve started reading a lot of stuff there but eh we’ll see.ĥ) Laptop, notebook, tablet, or computer?īefore technology was blessed upon me, I wrote in notebooks, and had an affinity to notebooks (still do). (And, again, I don’t update my Wattpad anymore.) And because of slower updates/inability to update more than one “chapter” on Luna at a time most of the time, I think I have more fics here. It’s primarily the same stuff from here that’s on those sites, though I have more chapters for series on Luna because the chapter-system is preferable compared to single chapters here. ![]() I always say I’m going to delete that account eventually, but I never have the energy to go onto Wattpad in the first place. I also have a Wattpad, but yeah, that’s dead. ![]() And so far, Luna is my favorite in terms of the technical stuff/mechanics like grammar and spelling, since they usually have someone to check submissions though, it does take a while for things to update as fast because of that. I started on Lunaescence, which sadly doesn’t have as large a traffic as it used to (at least I don’t think so? It could just be the fandoms I’m part of or the writers I love from there not making as much content). There’s just something satisfying about being able to create and especially finishing a creation, particularly stories (whether that be writing, music, screen, etc.).Ĥ) What sites do you post your fics to? Do you post different kinds of fics to different sites? I’m also too lazy or don’t have the talent/wit to write certain stuff, or I just don’t want to so i go to see what others do.īut I like to say I’m more a writer than a reader, despite my lack of activity here and other places. ![]() Sometimes I prefer reading, just because I like to see others’ ideas and interpretations of characters/plots/themes/etc. (I’ve been writing original stuff since I was, like, eight maybe?)ģ) Do you prefer reading or writing fanfiction? I started writing fanfiction when I was 12 years old, but I only started putting stuff online when I started my second year of high school, so about 15 years old, on Lunaescence. (Not to mention the ability to find inspiration or inspire others.)Ģ) When did you start writing fanfiction? I would also say the community, but I think for me it’s more the opportunity fanfiction offers to build a stronger and more creative community, who all share not only a love for a piece of work but also a hobby, such as writing. The ability to create more, all centralizing from something I or the community loves. Rules: Answer the questions you want below, and try to link any fics or authors the tag asks for so other people can check them out! Where the question asks for one fandom, feel free to list answers for as many fandoms as you'd like, or choose one of your favourites.ġ) What's your favourite part about fanfiction? Warning: there's a lot, so good luck and happy reading! Dinosauruses tagged me so here I am fumbling with my answers haha!
